Reverse Osmosis

What is a Reverse Osmosis Filter?

Reverse Osmosis (RO) operates by removing contaminants from water at the molecular level. By using your household water pressure to squeeze your water against a special membrane, water molecules are separated from impurities. Rejected dissolved solids are automatically rinsed down the drain leaving only high-quality, delicious water for you to use whether you have a water softener or not.

How does the Hague 3500 Reverse Osmosis Filter Work?

  1. DUAL FUNCTION PRE-FILTER
Reduces suspended and particulate matter from incoming tap water down to 1 micron. Water filtration that also reduces chlorine/chloramines taste and odor before passing through the RO membrane.
  2. REVERSE OSMOSIS MEMBRANE
Semi-permeable membrane targets and reduces 13 contaminants, including fluoride, nitrates, nitrites, lead, radium and arsenic. Also reduces remaining suspended solids and dissolved solids from the water molecules. Then, these separated impurities are washed down the drain.
  3. PROLONGED CONTACT FILTER
A specially designed filter that further reduces aesthetic chlorine from your water.
  4. CARBON BLOCK
One final filtration pass to reduce any additional objectionable tastes and odors.

What Makes the Hague 3500 RO different from other brands?

The Hague 3500 RO is one of the most efficient reverse osmosis filter on the market, producing 1 gallon of drinking water filtration for every 4 gallons used.  Other manufacturers could use as much as 10 gallons of water for each gallon of drinking water produced.

It also has the high pressure at the faucet (about 90% of the pressure of the normal faucet).  The tank will hold 2-3 gallons of treated water at any given time.

Hague 3500 Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Appliance replenishes at about one-half gallon per hour, depending on your tap water pressure and the water temperature  (higher temperature and higher pressure increase the replenishment).
